Q- Do I need to be 18 for a tattoo? … A- Yes , According to California State Law , it is a misdemeanor for any person to tattoo or offer to tattoo anyone under the age of 18.
Q- Does it Hurt ? … A- haha! This is Thee most asked question, And well Of Course it hurts ! We are using very sharp tiny needles to push ink pigment into your skin tissue . However its very tolerable . It’s uncomfortable mostly . Very much like sharp pinch that continues for the duration of the tattoo. Generally the client gets used to the feeling in the first few minutes and is able to tolerate it til its over .
Q- Does outlining hurt more or shading ? …. A - they both feel about the same actually. The outline is done first and is more of a sharp pinch feeling and generally is pretty easy to handle . The Shading is more of a rubbing feeling that tends to feel numb after the artist begins to shade or fill color . The main reason people think shading hurts more is simply because by the time the shading is done you’ve been in the chair for a while and your personal stamina is running out. This is why we suggest you are well rested and have food in your belly to sustain you .
Q- Does White ink hurt more ? .. A- This question I think is based on the shows that show the client in more pain during the “ white ink phase”. The reality is simply White is the last of the colors to be used , and because of that the skin has been worked quite a bit by then . That is why it hurts the most , not because of the actual color .
Q-Do I need one of my parents with me for a piercing if im under 18 ? ..A - Yes . A legal parent or guardian must be present . And a form of id is required for both parent and person under 18

Q - Do I still need to run across the street to find an ATM ? A- Thankfully NO , and we apologize for 9 years of making you do that . .( grimace). Now we accept all major credit / debit cards , Apple Pay ,Google Pay and of course as always Cash .
Q- Do you have gift certificates ?.. A - Yes we offer gift cards for both Tattoos and Piercings
Q - How much for a sleeve ? ( or half sleeve , or “ How much for a tattoo” ? …. A- Tattoos are based on Time , $150 per hour .. so depending on the design , size of body part , degree of detail etc the price for a “sleeve” can differ a lot .. we suggest you get your ideas together and schedule a consultation with the artist of your choosing to give you a far more accurate breakdown of your tattoo design .
Q - Can my friend come with me to get my tattoo ? … generally , ONE person is cool to bring if the artist has space in their booth .. but keep in mind tattooers want to be able to Focus of the tattoo and do their best job , So bringing a friend is usually very distracting and not the best idea . Definitely do NOT bring a crew ! and really the only good reason to bring a friend is to introduce them to the artist if they are looking to get work done in the future . The way I usually explain it is “ Tattooing is NOT a group sport”
